The i3 Platinum is already equipped with  tuning right out of the box, but customers like to bolt-on upgrades and extract every bit of horsepower out of their vehicles. The Platinum i3 has built-in data logging features too, which allows your choice of custom tuning dealer to monitor and tune the engine remotely and accurately.

This kit allows you to keep your factory PCM instead of sending it back to Diablosport. Not necessary, but can give you some peace of mind in the event of selling your vehicle, returning to stock, or having work done on your vehicle with a dealer that is funny about it. Most dealers do not care, but it's an added level of security if you want that.
